THE CARR'S breeding program

The aims of the program:

1.To achieve as near 100% fertility to produce fully reared youngsters.

2.To bring those youngsters on with no health problems at all.

3.To produce strong, weaned youngsters that are visibly superior than in previous years.

4.To keep those youngsters healthy and growing steadily past the critical 16 week stage

5.To keep the program as simple as possible.

6.To breed youngsters that will give you great pleasure.

Lets have a look at how we can achieve these aims.

To achieve near 100% fertility. Starts with the fertility of the parents. Many breeders know that building the fertility near to breeding is essential, but many only concentrate on the does and donít give the bucks a second thought, This is totally wrong ,both parents need to be in excellent breeding condition both on the outside and on the inside to produce healthy eggs and sperm.

This is simply achieved by using Carr's ENTRACARE on the feed of the parents or alternatively in their water supply, the active natural plant extract in ENTRACARE clears the gut of harmful pathogens, including coccidiosis,E.Coli , Salmonella and even intestinal worms. The intestine of the rabbit has an intestinal mucosa, this is healthy and pink in a healthy animal,but when it becomes infested with pathogens it can turn to a grey sticky layer .The pathogens live , feed and breed in it, it is a perfect habitat for them to thrive, and once they start to multiply in great numbers the result is that they will drag the rabbit down ,to point where their own immune system cannot cope and the rabbit will eventually die.

ENTRACARE lifts this layer away and it is passed out with the faeces , flushing with it the pathogens, over time with continued use the gut is cleared of these harmful pathogens and the rabbits natural immune system is restored, This part of the program has now sorted out the inside problems of the rabbit, and this will now lead to improved outside appearance i.e. better fur quality, clear eyes, warm feet due to improved circulation. The droppings of the rabbit will now take on a firm consistency a tell tale sign that everything in the gut is as it should be.

At around six weeks before breeding Fertility gold can be added to ,a high long fiber mix with a little protein content two or three times a week , this is very high in natural vitamin E and this will heighten the fertility levels in the rabbits ,remember to give to both does and bucks. this should be used during breeding and rearing with the ENTRACARE,and can be mixed with the ENTRACARE, Adding NATRAVIT,a natural multivitamin at this stage will also increase the vitamin levels within the parents and this can also be mixed with the ENTRACARE and Fertility Gold and should be given three times a week also, this blend should also be used after the birth as the ingested vitamins and essential oils in the Entracare will be present in the mothers milk during the rearing period ..

You will also notice that during the youngsters life so far the droppings will have remained solid, this shows that everything is fine in the gut and that the food you are feeding is being utilized and converted to muscle in an efficient way. Keeping the youngsters in top condition and growing steadily is now of utmost importance, do not stress them unduly ,keep feeding times and exercise times constant.

This system of breeding and rearing is a very simple one that takes the minimum of effort and memory. I am sure that you will be very pleased with the system .

To simplify the system;

1,Give your rabbits Entracare in the feed or alternatively in the water to clear the gut of harmful pathogens .

2,Administer ENTRACARE +Natravit +Supreme fertility Gold, in the feed to both does and bucks to bring them into breeding condition prior to pairing. ENTRACARE everyday and Natravit and Supreme fertility gold three times a week. This is best done six week prior to pairing

3.Continue to use this combination until the youngsters are two weeks weaned. Then stop using the Supreme fertility gold and carry on with the ENTRACARE and Natravit

Rabbit Products

The rabbit has a very sensetive digestion tract.some people say it is similar to that of a horse,they suffer from a condition called colic which can be fatal,rabbits suffer from various conditions in the digestion tract that can also lead to death.the secret in rabbit keeping is to keep the gut in a good condition and keep it moving,if it slows down or stops then this is when the major problems occur.This slowing is called stacis,and basically what happens is that food trapped in the gut is then colonised by pathogens of various types ,these are always found in the gut as part of its natural flora ,there are good pathogens and bad pathogen,the good guys and the bad guys.the good guys keep the bad guys levels down and a happy co-existance is acheived .when stacis occurs the bad guys numbers increase because the gut has slowed and they have much more time to reproduce before they are pushed out as faeces.they reproduce at an alarming rate and quickly wipe out the good guys, 

They are then in an enviroment with little or no competition and being an organism the produce  waste products,these are usually seen as toxins which are poisonous and or gas which is known as bloat.both of these conditions can kill rabbits quickly.with in hours in most cases.                                                                                    

Prevention is far better than a cure,a suitable long fibre diet is essential,in the wild rabbirs eat long fibre all the time they occasionally eat small grains if there is a low supply of fibre but this is not the norm.high protein diets of grains is not a natural diet for a rabbit,so it is best not to feed this all the time,a small amount with plenty of long fibre,stalky hay etc is best. be sure that the hay is of the best quality,use your nose if it smells fusty or has visible mould or spores or is a yellowish colour then don't feeds it ,the mould can cause all sorts of problems in the gut and in their air ways,the respiritory tract.                                                              

Once you have found a feeding regime that suits the rabbit stick to it and stick to the same food,altering food quickly can lead to digestion problems and enteritis,(squits) if you have to change the food do it over a period of a few days and monitor the rabbits closely.

HOW ENTRACARE/OREGANUM WORKS

In the intestines of all animals,birds and even humans

there is a mucus lining.this is called the intestinal mucosa.it is a naturally occuring layre that is  produced constantly through the life of the animal.this layre is grey and warm and it it can become a breeding and feeding ground for many stomach pathogens,ie ecoli,coccidiosis salmonella etc,left alone and in a situation that  is beneficial to their reproduction ie stacis or a collaps of good bacteria, the pathogens can multiply quickly to many millions.having the effect of dragging the animal down, to, in many cases death,
